About Egemeo Foundation

We are a charitable, non-governmental and non-lucrative Kenya based charity organisation duly registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act,1990.

The Foundation has been running for some time now but managed to get its full registration in Decemebr 2022. 

The foundation primarily caters for disadvantaged children and young people aged from (4 to 18) and women, and also takes care of people suffering or fighting substance abuse,  to bring about positive changes in their lives through the creation of a sound social, cultural and educational environment targeted to meet the needs of the local communities, which consists on the safeguarding of their rights to enhance their sense of belonging, safety and help them attain self-confidence, enhance their ability to make integrated and right decisions through the many and varied programs that help them to physically, psychologically and intellectually develop and thrive.

The foundation endeavours to develop the sense of loyalty and teamwork spirit, support the most hopeful creators and innovators amongst the youth and promote their talents and creativity as a community and national resource that should be nurtured, as well as work actively on the positive integration of the poor and disabled children in the community, 

woman and people affected by jiggers and substance abuse including alcoholism, emphasis being put on western region of Kenya and part of rift valley.

Furthermore, the Foundation also works on activating the role of members of the community and increases the degree of awareness of cultural and societal issues. The association’s main interests are centred on topics related to social services and cultural programs targeting children, youth and women.

A transformed society where every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to education, health, guidance, and the opportunity to live a purposeful and productive life.

Mission

To uplift vulnerable children, youth, and adults through education support, mentorship, health interventions, and rehabilitation programs that nurture wholeness, self-worth, and sustainable livelihoods.
